Updated February 27, 1998 Microsoft Releases Patch For FrontPage Discussion Web WoesIN RESPONSE to the cover story in the February issue of BugNet, Microsoft has released a patch for FrontPage 98 discussion web problems. The new patch for FrontPage 98 server extensions running on Microsoft Windows NT/IIS fixes several FrontPage problems BugNet reported earlier this month, including the FrontPage discussion web table of contents (TOC) bug, which can cause the framed and unframed versions of the TOC to display different contents. A patch has not yet been released to fix these problems for FrontPage extensions running on UNIX servers, but Microsoft promises one will be available for UNIX soon. In the meantime, Microsoft offers the following workaround for the TOC problem on UNIX servers (or NT/IIS servers that don't have the patch installed): "Open the TOC page(s) in FrontPage's Editor, allow the TOC to be updated in the page, then save the page. This should correct the problem by recalculating the table of contents page last, ensuring that all message pages are listed."
