Some of the stunts on Upper Bob's Trail.
Rode Galbraith on a day that rained hard all the while I was driving into Bellingham, getting a doughnut, and preparing my gear in the car at the end of Birch St.

As if on cue, though, when I stepped out, it slacked off, and stayed light for the next two hours. Despite riding more than 50 days during January and February this year, I have only been out in a driving rain once, and that was in supposedly sunny Anacortes.

Explored the trail that drops from the end of Upper Ridge Trail Extension -- Upper Bob's Trail by name. It's probably the gnarliest trail on the entire north side of Galbraith, with approximately a dozen natural terrain stunts like the ones in these pics.

Approximately 1100 verts.

This is an excerpt from Vert Quest, which chronicles The Man Known As Mongo's pursuit of the World Record for climbing on a mountain bike, 404,000 vertical feet, or the vertical equivalent of 13 sea-level-to-summit ascents of Mt. Everest during a 12 month period.
