Two rides again today. Quickly sprinted up Vedder Ridge, and then grabbed a an hour later in the day on Galbraith while Shanna was taking her skating lesson.

Broke the second log drop in the double log drop at the top of the Piano Drop as I went over it. Now its a single log drop, but the big holes on the right below where the second log used to be are still challenging.

The ride on Galbraith was really a ton of fun. There were so many mountain bikers out in the sunny late afternoon on the Ridge Trail that they reminded me of the ladybugs that have been coming out in such impressive numbers on the sunporch at home.

Was also impressed to see so many comely ladies out, along with the usual males. One lady told me that the last time she ran her dog on Galbraith his pads were raw when she got home. She looked like a 30s-something movie star with thighs of iron. She wore dark glasses matching her long dark braided hair. I passed her a couple times, and each time her black and white spotted dog ran ahead with me for several minutes before returning to the stylish lady in a blue jacket and black tights.

Approximately 1900 verts.

This is an excerpt from Vert Quest, which chronicles The Man Known As Mongo's pursuit of the World Record for climbing on a mountain bike, 404,000 vertical feet, or the vertical equivalent of 13 sea-level-to-summit ascents of Mt. Everest during a 12 month period.
