Here's a sequence of Mark riding through one of the S's on his new trail, Wonderland.

Rode Galbraith with Mark, who showed me the new work he's done on his new trail off the top of the Tower Trail. It's very cool -- more like riding through the woods sans trail than any other riding I've done. This won't last, though, as Mark has flagged both ends of the trail, and most of the trail itself as well.

We had so much fun on his new trail, which he calls Wonderland, that we rode it twice (and worked a little on the tight end of the S pictured above), which is "paved" with concrete blocks that Mark hauled up to the top of Galbraith one-by-one with his bike and his Bob trailer.

Then we proceeded to Devilcross (where Mark rode the face I've only seen one other ever ride before, Jerry Kingslein), both Arsenios, the Intestine, Pinball Wizard, and both the Upper and Lower Bob's Trail, which were very interesting. Mark said he went to high school in Sedro Wooley with Bob Torset, the Bob in question.

Approximately 2200 verts.

This is an excerpt from Vert Quest, which chronicles The Man Known As Mongo's pursuit of the World Record for climbing on a mountain bike, 404,000 vertical feet, or the vertical equivalent of 13 sea-level-to-summit ascents of Mt. Everest during a 12 month period.
