THE TOP BANNER was originally created in January/February 2004 as an animated Javascript showing the faces of American servicemen killed in Iraq on the left, and the face of George W. Bush on the right. Eight months later it's tag line -- "This man died because George W. Bush lied" -- became a rallying cry of protesters at the 2004 Republican National Convention.
The animated version of this banner has been running on thousands of Web pages for the last four years, rotating the faces of American servicemen killed in Iraq, once every three seconds, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 52 weeks a year. As such, this Astonisher.com Free (Thought) Banner probably represents the world's most extensively reproduced tribute to the American service man and women killed by George W. Bush and Richard Cheney in their illegal, immoral, atrocity-laced and hideously counter-productive War in Iraq.
The second banner is a blunter effort to convey the simple fact of George W. Bush's duplicity. For further information, please see U.S. Rep Henry Waxman's list of "237 specific misleading statements made by Bush Administration officials about the threat posed by Iraq."
The third, fourth and fifth banners above express the enduring governance legacy of the Bush Administration. They were also created to run as an animate Javascript.
In fairness, however, George W. Bush is not alone in his deep denial and dishonesty. Dishonesty is actually a "core value" among the values-based GOP, as the bottom banner reflects.
