Mark comin' down the steep approach to the catwalk on Dan's Trail.
Rode Galbraith from Galbraith Lane with a half dozen guys (had to loan Jimmy, one of the guys from Glacier, my extra shoes because he forgot his).
Climbed the road to the tower at the top, and then rolled over the far side on the Tower Trail, which rolls over a marvelously steep, off-camber rock face. I was at my best here, following Mark smoothly down the rock (he went high and the took the off camber drop pretty straight down to the trail rollout to the left), and then ripped the very tight and technical single track below.
Next we rode Dan's Trail, climbed Kung Fu Theater and Purple Heart, and ripped Little Big Trail, where I unfortunately whacked my knee going over the bars on the second log drop. I was WAY too far forward on the bike -- don't know if I feathered the brakes or not. Gotta remember to stay back and drop the bike away under me, and make sure NOT to touch the brakes.
I had to bale out and head home for ice for my knee. With just five days left in the
month and 7,000 verts to go, I can't afford to be hurt for a couple days.
Approximately 2000 verts.
