Mark Adriance (the vampire of Galbraith) doing the double log drop
on Purple Heart; ditto for Bruce.
The Three Musketeers were reunited for a great ride on Galbraith.
We rode many of the great ones, including Purple Heart, Dan's Trail, and Wonderland. I was strong, acing all of Dan's Trail (including the big log rollover at the end) for the first time.
The most noteworthy thing about the day from my standpoint, however, was the fact that I inadvertently made a big photo breakthrough. I set the camera for flash fill (instead of no flash, burst mode, as I had been wont) and handed it to Mark Adriance, who promptly took a nice shot of me going off the double log drop on Purple Heart. I got a less good, but still pretty nice photo of him in the same place with the same setting too. So far, this is the only way I have found of freezing the motion of the rider in low light.
I massaged Mark's photo in Photoshop a little and threw it up on GalbraithMt.com as the new cover just a few
hours after he took it. Ah, the beauty of the web!
Then after the ride, Mark Belles and I drove out to Sumas, loaded the van full of boxes, and then hauled them to the house on Humboldt St, thus beginning the move to Bellingham.
