The view from Galbraith toward the Chuckanuts on a misty day.
Big Chuckanut ride with a bunch of the usual suspects. We climbed Burnout (Steve was
first and I was second to the top, but I thought the summit was several faces higher and I
hadn't even started my final sprint when we hit the summit), and the descended a route
that proved very technical in the slime and mud, finally coming out in Arroyo Park.
I was having some trouble with chain suck (the mud was so thick) so I had fallen back to last in line when we came out of Arroyo. Crossing the road, I found the group gathered in a line with their hand folded in mock prayer, chanting "Sensei, show us the way."
Unfortunately, I didn't make it all the way up the stairs this time, like I did last week. This time, I went down in the hairpin corner when my rear wheel spun (perhaps I should have kept my weight farther back, instead of coming forward to the point of the saddle).
Approximately 3200 verts.
